![]() | MASTER: Masters are the mainstay of the Imperial Navy. Most skilled crewman are Masters, and they can be found in every department of every large warship. They also occasionally command carrier-based fighters, although this is rare. |

![]() | KNIGHT: Knights are the highest non-commissioned rank in the Imperial Navy. they command sections of crew on large ships, are often Squadron leaders in carrier-based squadrons, and may be given independent command of their own ship in protectorates other than the XXI. ![]() | LORD: Lords are representatives of the Imperial Noble families, trained from birth for leadership. The rank of Lord is given to officers currently going through naval training. Having just graduated from staff college, Earls often command squadrons or small task-forces, being considered responsible for the conduct of that group. ![]() | DUKE: Dukes are exceptional leaders, and may be called on to lead a major battle fleet during navy-wide exercises or decisive battles during wartime. However, it is much more common for a Marquis to be in command of an entire Solar System or to lead a Protectorate. |
![]() | PRINCE: There are only thirty-four Princes in service with the Navy at the current time, of whom twenty-nine are members of the Duval family. Princes may lead Protectorates, or they may be part of the Naval Advisory Council in Duval City, Achenar, where they control and organise the efforts of all the different protectorates into a coherent whole. |
